The Pavilion is a single storey building built on traditional
strip foundations with a suspended concrete beam and block ground
floor. The structure is formed with load bearing blockwork
reinforced with brick reinforcement in certain areas.
The only steelwork in the building is a 'goal post' frame to
support the sliding/folding partition dividing the central areas.
The roof, comprising of built up plastic coated metal sheet
roofing is supported on a simple Glulam timber beam structure.
Air handling equipment is contained within the roof space over
the main entrance and above the corridors. Underfloor heating is
also provided in all areas.
