February 2012 - ISO 14001:2004 Certification Achieved.

R J Leighfield & Sons Ltd has achieved the internationally recognised ISO 14001:2004 certification. We aim to use our newly certified environmental management system to help us identify and control our environmental impact, continually improve our environmental performance and implement a systematic approach to setting our environmental targets and objectives.

November 2011 - Two Housing Contracts Complete.

R J Leighfield & Sons Ltd have this month completed work on two housing projects, one for Westlea Housing Association and the other for Soha - both completing on programme and within budget.

September 2011 - New Housing Contract Commences.

R J Leighfield & Sons Ltd have recently started work on 12 New Flats at Towersey, Thame, Oxfordshire for Soha Housing Association at a value of £1.1m. Anticipated completion: June 2012.

August 2011 - Leighfield Shares Acquired.

The Leighfield family, through their investment company, have acquired the shares in R J Leighfield & Sons Limited previously held by G&T Crampton, the Dublin based construction company.

The only change resulting from the acquisition being that the company will remove Crampton from its trading name and logo.

The Directors and Shareholders look forward to the continued growth of the business and working with existing and new clients.

July 2011 - Neil Golding (Director) Appointed NFB South West Chairman & Attends The Queen's Garden Party.

As well as being appointed NFB South West Chairman, Neil was also nominated to attend the Queen's Garden Party.

Every summer The Queen hosts at least three Garden Parties at Buckingham Palace as well as one at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh. Over 30,000 people attend the events which recognise and reward public service.

Speaking about his trip to see The Queen, Neil said "It was certainly a great honour to be nominated and a great experience for me and my family to attend something so traditional and so very British on a perfect summer's day. I will always remember my trip to the Palace, as will my family".

May 2011 - Two New Housing Contracts Commence.

R J Leighfield & Sons Ltd have recently started work on two new contracts. The first is six new houses in Slough for Sovereign Housing Association, due for completion in December 2011. The second is five new houses in Malmesbury for Westlea Housing Association, due for completion in November 2011.

March 2011 - New Bungalow Development In Swindon Now Complete.

R J Leighfield & Sons have recently completed 9 new 2 and 3 bed bungalows at Farndale Close in Penhill, Swindon, for their client Westlea Housing Association (part of Greensquare Group).

In addition to achieving Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4, the properties use photovoltaic panels and solar hot water heating panels to help lower running costs and reduce energy consumption. All nine bungalows were also designed for increased accessibility, with two of the properties being fully wheelchair accessible with adapted bathrooms.
