October 2009 - Phelps Parade Development In Calne Now Completed.

The Phelps Parade development for Greensquare Group and Wiltshire Council has recently been completed in just 14 months. Managed by Leighfield's Site Manager Neil Johnson, the demolition of 5 existing residential properties and 2 retail units has made way for the construction of 16 low cost flats for rent and 2 new retail units. The works included complete site clearance, design and build of new buildings and infrastructure, and a diversion of the main sewer. The completed building has achieved Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, Secure by Design Certification and is a credit to R J Leighfield's work.

August 2009 - Builders Consortium South West (BCSW) Success.

R J Leighfield & Sons has joined three other contractors to form a consortium which will trade as The Builders Consortium South West (BCSW). The Consortium is one of eleven successful contractors on the Construction Framework South West (CFSW) who can tender for the new four year £500m south west framework, which  covers the entire south west region from Wiltshire and Gloucester to Devon and Cornwall. The BSCW's selection for such a large framework, against competition from mainly national contractors, is a huge achievement for the Consortium and proof that SME contractors can compete against the larger players.

May 2009 - New Sports Facility At Pinewood School In Swindon Now Completed.

Leighfield's are proud to have completed their first project for Pinewood School, near Swindon, both on time and within budget. Philip Hoyland, the Headmaster, said that the project exceeded expectations and was a building of real quality that has enhanced the facilities offered by the school.
