Imperial Commercials, Swindon
This project involved the construction of an HGV workshop (1052m2) with offices and storage (247m2) for Imperial Commercials Ltd.
The Pavilions, South Marston
Situated in South Marston Park, just outside Swindon, this in-house office development currently consists of the 30,000 sq ft Pavilion 2 building, which is separated into four suites. Facilities in each suite include air conditioning, desk level perimeter trunking, gas fired central heating and kitchenette. There is also generous car parking provision and a passenger lift for suites on the first floor.
As well as the Pavilion 2 building, there is also scope to build three additional office buildings of similar size in the future.
The project comprised the construction of 10No office units on 2 floors and 12No small industrial units each with a mezzanine floor. Offices are built in bradstone reconstructed stone blocks and are of masonry construction supporting floors in precast concrete. Roofs are of traditional trussed rafter construction with plastisol composite coated sheet coverings. The industrial units are of steel frame construction with a mixture of bradstone at low level with plastisol coated sheet cladding above.
MAN Trucks (Cardiff)
Construction of new commercial vehicle sales and servicing depot and workshops. This project in the Wentloog Park area of Cardiff is built on an area of previously reclaimed land. Extensive ground stabilization works were carried out prior to the construction. Works comprised the erection of a steel framed industrial style building with 2 storey offices. Cladding for the building was supplied by Euro clad whose production facility is located on the same industrial park.
The site situated on the junction between the M25 and A20 was purchased with outline planning permission. The project comprised the demolition of a former two storey office building and construction of a 16000ft2 Industrial Unit with 1800ft2 of integral office. Designed by architects Ttsp-fookes Partnership the design makes maximum use of the site whilst allowing ample parking and sufficient turning space for even the largest articulated vehicles.
