The works comprised of demolition/clearance of an existing garage court and two PRC houses; and the construction of 4 affordable houses and 1 house for sale, together with external works, for Green Square Group.
Phoenix Square, Pewsey
Works comprised the conversion and renovation of the former Phoenix Hotel into 6 flats, and the construction of 13 new houses built in a range of classical architectural styles. All the properties surround and overlook the central green and the retained Yew tree. The houses are constructed using a variety of traditional materials and finishes including Ashlar stone, brick and render for the walls, natural slate and handmade tiles to the roofs and traditional box sash windows and cast iron gutters and down pipes.
Angel Court
R J Leighfield acquired the site, previously an orchard and garden to the neighbouring Moonfleet House, with an existing planning permission for 2No 3 bedroom semi detached and 2No 5 bedroom detached homes, all with double garages. Architect Springfield Design Partnership were engaged to develop the existing designs and fulfill the requirements of the local planning authority. By careful use of external materials the courtyard style development has been successfully completed and now blends well with surrounding properties in the attractive village.
